Dear Meraux Elementary Families,

Welcome to another exciting school year at The Hive!

I hope your summer has been filled with wonderful memories, plenty of laughter, and opportunities to relax and spend time with those you love. As summer comes to a close, our entire staff has been busy preparing for what promises to be an incredible year of learning, growth, and celebration. We cannot wait to welcome our Bees back into the building!

At Meraux Elementary, we believe that our school is much more than a place where children come to learn; it is a family. Every student who walks through our doors is valued, supported, and encouraged to become the very best version of themselves. Our teachers and staff have spent the summer planning engaging lessons, refreshing classrooms, and preparing meaningful experiences that will inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.

Last school year, our students accomplished amazing things. They demonstrated perseverance, kindness, and determination while making tremendous academic growth. We are incredibly proud of their success and are excited to build on that momentum as we begin another year together. While academic achievement remains a priority, we are equally committed to helping our students grow socially and emotionally, develop strong character, and create lasting friendships.

This year, we will continue to focus on creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where every child feels seen, heard, and celebrated. Whether your child is joining us for the very first time or is returning for another year at Meraux, please know that they belong here. Our goal is for every student to walk into school each day excited to learn and leave feeling proud of what they accomplished.

We know that a successful school year is built on a strong partnership between home and school. Your encouragement, communication, and involvement make an incredible difference in your child's success. We are grateful for the trust you place in us each day and look forward to working alongside you throughout the year.

As we begin this new chapter, I encourage every student to embrace new opportunities, challenge themselves, show kindness to others, and always remember that mistakes are simply opportunities to learn and grow. Together, there is no limit to what our Meraux Bees can accomplish.
